Hope Hive

PAST PROJECTS

We firmly believe that everyone has the ability to make an impact, regardless of their background or life experiences. So welcome to Hive Talks, an initiative by Hope Hive,  to provide a platform for collaboration, where like-minded students can share their ideas.

On this podcast we’ll be having discussions on topics ranging across various fields as well as our own personal entries. Our aim is to channel the collective energies of students towards meaningful initiatives by giving them the opportunity to voice their opinions along with us on this podcast.

On April 1st 2023, we hosted a memorable Open Mic as our first fundraiser, transforming a regular evening into a tapestry of talents and goodwill. The event unfolded at Cafe Papaya drawing students around the city for a common cause. Over 85 highschoolers came together and helped us raise Rs. 15000 by performing and cheering on for their friends. This money was kept aside to aid in our future ventures.
The best part about the open mic beyond the captivating performances was the essence of the night- a collective effort to contribute to a meaningful cause.

Open Mic Fundraiser

The volunteering drive was meticulously organized, bringing together a group of enthusiastic students eager to make a difference in the lives of the elderly residents of Signature Foundation, Kakkanad.

Through a variety of activities like conversations, storytelling, games, performances, and art sessions, the volunteers bridged generational gaps, bringing warmth and positivity to the elderly residents. Beyond surface interactions, the initiative focused on addressing the emotional needs of the elderly citizens, offering companionship, empathetic listening, and creating lasting connections that transcended age boundaries.

With funds raised from the open mic, we provided evening snacks to the Palluruthy Relief Settlement. Student volunteers organized the logistics and sourced nutritious meals and supplies to cater to the settlement's immediate needs.
However, the efforts didn't end with the distribution of provisions. Understanding the power of art in healing and bringing joy, a group of talented students volunteered to entertain the settlement's residents with a small performance. Our aim was to infuse a sense of joy and hope into the hearts of the residents, fostering a momentary escape from their hardships. We were also fortunate enough to spend time, interact and perform with the inmates- bringing smiles and fostering a sense of belonging and solidarity within the community.
